President: Maria Concetta Gentile

Hey there fellow biologists! My name is Maria (call me Mari) and I am currently wrapping up my last year in a biology specialization. As your President, my main objective is to oversee the functioning of the association as well as taking in all your feedback and acting upon it. In addition, my goal is to promote our biology program and student life through social and academic events.  For the past few years, I’ve worked relentlessly to restructure the Concordia Galapagos Project, an annual conservation trip that takes place in the Galapagos Islands. Swing by our office and participate in our events; I look forward to meeting you all!

VP External: Marion Shannon Bardies

Hey everyone! My name is Marion Bardies and I’m currently in my last year of my Biology Major at Concordia. My passion for Biology, and dream to become a Marine Biologist, stemmed from young as I grew up on an island constantly surrounded by nature, wildlife and a beautiful land and marine ecosystem. This is my First term in the BSA and I’m super excited to be your Vice President of External Affairs! Taking part in the ‘Concordia Galapagos Project’ 2017 has been a life changing experience for me, and I can’t wait to coordinate this project for 2019, leading you guys to the most biodiverse place on Earth! Don’t be shy and pop by our office in SP375.21. I look forward to meeting you all!

VP Social: Danielle Mac Rae

HELLO! My name is Danie and I have been the VP Social for the BSA for the last two years. My role here is to provide some rad events for biology undergrads to attend that involve networking, socializing and having a great time. University is a stressful time, and us biologist sometimes forget to get our heads out of the books and get involved with the Uni life. I am here to tell you that it is okay to step away from your studies and enjoy your young lives, make friends and connect with with your peers outside of the classroom! Building lifetime bonds with your peers is not only good for your mental health, but will also help you through your studies and career after school. Networking goes a long way in our field and getting involved will boost your moral and I promise it won’t hurt your GPA. Hope to see you all coming out to our events!

VP Internal: Catherine Woo-Durand

Hi y’all! My name is Catherine Woo-Durand and I am currently completing my degree in Honours Biology here at Concordia. My passion for biology started as a child and has been going strong ever since. I recently had the life-changing opportunity to volunteer and visit the Galapagos Islands with the Concordia Galapagos Project hosted by the BSA. Not only was I further educated on the ecology of the islands’ ecosystems and able to aid in their preservation through conservation work, I also got to form friendships with a great bunch of classmates that I will cherish for years to come. I look forward to making this year a fun and exciting one for Concordia’s Undergraduate Biology students.
